In order to celebrate its 40th year in the industry, Psion Teklogix is offering the iKon PDA / smartphone. The gadget has a 3.7-inch VGA display, an integrated camera, built-in GPS, GSM / GPRS / UMTS connectivity options, Bluetooth, WiFi, a barcode scanner and your choice of Windows Mobile 6 Classic / Professional or CE.net 5. The iKon will be released in December. There is no word on pricing yet.

QuickSilver has created a new phone concept which looks like PacMan. The mobile phone has QVGA display, GPRS and EDGE connectivity, a microSD memory card slot, and a USB port. The idea of this concept is interesting. However, there is no word on when this concept phone will go into mass production.

Samsung comes back with a new Bluetooth headset. The WEP-430 is specially designed for sports activities. This Bluetooth 2.0 device has two microphones for optimum voice quality and offers echo reduction. The WEP-430 also provides 5 hours of talk time and 110 hours of standby time. Samsung Gleam Phone With Night Shot Feature

Verizon offers the Samsung Gleam, which is a 3G clamshell with Bluetooth support. The mobile phone has a microSD slot, and a 2MP camera with a Night Shot feature that allows you to take pictures at night without a flash. The handset is currently available for $150 with a 2-year contract.

AT&T Unveils Tilt Smartphone

AT&T today unveiled its first Windows Mobile 6-enabled smartphone, the Tilt. Named for its 2.8″ screen, which tilts like a laptop’s when slid up to reveal the handset’s full QWERTY keyboard.

Containing a host of powerful features, the device includes Wi-Fi with 802.11b and g frequencies, a 3-megapixel camera, the highest resolution yet for AT&T, Bluetooth 2.0, support for up to 32Gb microSD memory, and global 3G Capabilities from AT&T’s UMTS/HSDPA-based BroadbandConnect Network.
