Cowon Japan will release its new iAUDIO 7 in the Japanese market. This 16GB MP3 player comes equipped with 1.3-inch TFT-LCD with 260,000 colors and swing touch button. The player also support EQ filter allowing users to adjust bandwidth and frequencies of each sound band in the Equalizer, FM radio, voice recording, text and image viewer. The player retails for approx. $330.
Digital Camo has rolled out a full line of skins for the second-generation iPod shuffle, second- and third-generation iPod nano, iPod classic, iPod touch, and iPhone. These skins are made with a sub-surfaced printed 7 mil vinyl. They are also available in more than 20 different designs different color combinations. The Digital Camo iPods and iPhone skins retail for $10 each.
Not a big fan of iPods? Looking for an MP3 just as good? These solar and crank powered PMPs from Sorbo might just be what you want. The 5003 and 5006 models are just ordinary MP3 players with 128MB of memory, but the 5003 is crank-powered and the 5006 is powered by a solar panel. But the 5007 might be even better considering that it has a 2-inch LCD screen with SD expansion, MP4 support, game function, voice recorder, and a handy ebook reader. My personal favorite is the 5003 model (pictured above). No price or availability date yet.
This cool gadget does so many things, not exactly a pretty sight but it gets the job done. The XS-Drive Vision 2500 has an MP3 player, video player, memory stick, either a 60Gb or 160 GB internal hard drive, 320×240 LCD display screen, CF I and II support, SD, mini SD, microSD, MMC, and xD cards, video recorder, voice recorder, text reader, JPEG viwer, and 2.0 USB connectivity. There’s no exact release date yet, however, the 60GB one starts at $285.
Philips has come out with another flash player. The SA9345 which features a slim design, a 2 or 4 GB storage capacity for mp3, WMA, or WMV files, 1.8 inch 320×240 LCD screen, and touch sensitive controls. The 4GB goes $264 and the 2GB is $202.
The pricing of the Samsung YP-P2 and YP-T10 MP3 players have been unveiled. The P2 offers a big touchscreen display. The 4GB version retails for $199 and the 8GB version for $249. The 4GB version of the T10 is priced at $149, while the 8GB model for $199. Both models will be released in the States this month.
Nike Amp+ allows you to control your iPod wirelessly from the Amp+’s integrated controls. This iPod accessory also features a polyurethane band, an LED display that displays the time and iPod icons when activated, water resistance for up to 50meters, and a dedicated button for instant access to your power song. The Amp+ is currently available at Nike’s online store for $79.00.
iRiver Japan has announced the successor to the DP300 which was sold in 2006, the DP350 is a flash memory based media player which will be available in two versions 2GB and 4GB. It can playback MPEG-4, WMV, MP3, WAV, OGG and image files as well. It has a FM tuner with support for FM recording in WAV format. It connects to the host via USB and can be used as a storage device too. The DP350 is however compatible with Windows only. The Lithium Ion battery provides 18 hours of music and 5 hours of video playback.
